In Loving Memory ~

1940 - 2024

Our beloved Mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 12, leaving us all with shattered hearts.

Mom was born in Asmara, Ethiopia on August 12, 1940, and spent her childhood growing up in Italy. Mom and Dad met in Italy and after a brief courtship were married in 1961. They immediately moved to Canada where they spent the rest of their lives together working and raising a family.

Mom was a beautiful, elegant lady whose amazing smile brightened every room she entered. She was an avid bowler who looked forward to her weekly league games at Brechin Lanes. Mom had a green thumb. She loved her garden, keeping her flowers and ornaments so meticulously cared for.

Mom's joy was the numerous hummingbird feeders she had around her yard. She loved to see the birds visit outside her window every day.

One thing you could always expect to see when you visited, was Mom standing in the kitchen, apron on, cooking or baking something wonderful. That amazing smell that filled her home as you walked in the door that was always open for her family and friends. You were always welcome at Mom's and you never left hungry..... Mangia ! Mangia !

Mom lived a full and wonderful life. She continued to be outgoing and social, even after the passing of the love of her life, Giuseppe. She missed him dearly and her only wish was to be reunited again.

Her pride and joy were her children, but what really kept Nonna going was the never-ending love she felt for her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, with every visit, smile and hug.

Luisa was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe (2007). They were married 46 ½ years when he passed.

She will be lovingly missed by her youngest Sister; Liliana Marafioti (Italy), her Children; Antonella (Rob) Perry, AnnaRita (John) Best, Dan (Leona) Multari, numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Respecting Mom's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

We will always love you Mom. Now you are free to be with Dad...

Your kindred spirits will share eternity
