It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ludy Gerick on Friday, January 19, 2018.
Ludy was born and raised in Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 to reside in Powell River. He moved to Nanaimo in 1973 where he started his own building company, Ludy Gerick Construction.
Ludy is predeceased by son Rick and will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Caroline, daughter Christie (Sig) grandchildren Kevin and Sarah, daughter Lisa (Brian) grandchildren Adriane and Alex, great grandchildren Sebastian and Lucas, and son Scott (Jennilyn).
Ludy lived a full life. He enjoyed singing with the German Choir, playing Skat, and golfing at Cottonwood Golf Course.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life being held at the German Club, in Nanaimo, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 1-4.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ludy's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
