December 14, 1955 - February 21, 2023
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished mother, grandmother (a.k.a. "Gigi") and sister, Leslie Morley (nee Shepherd), in the emergency department at NRGH on February 21, 2023.
Leslie was born in Edmonton, Alberta on December 14, 1955, and has gone to be with her beloved parents, Douglas and Dale Shepherd, who predeceased her.
She is survived by her: son, Jason Morley, grandson, Mataeo; son, Jeremiah (Jerry) Morley, his wife, Katrina, and grandson Gabe; Brother, Steven Shepherd (wife Dianne) of Nanaimo, BC; brother, Scott Shepherd of Duncan, BC; sister, Kimberly Shepherd of Victoria BC; brother, Grant Shepherd (wife Holly) of Calgary, Alberta; and brother, Curtis Shepherd of Victoria, BC.
Leslie was a devoted mother, a beloved "big sis" and a loving grandmother. She fully embraced the welcoming community of seniors at Kiwanis assisted living and was an avid "Bingo" player. Her quirky sense of fun and her warm caring personality will be missed.
We wish to thank all the staff at the Nanaimo Community Care Services, Home Support, Kiwanis Village and the NRGH emergency room for their care and compassion given to Leslie.
