Selzler, Leo Anthony

Leo (Lee) Anthony Selzler passed away on December 9, 2016, after a challenging battle with heart disease and other age-related issues.  Lee lived most of his life with a single-minded pursuit of activities that gave him joy and pleasure, which included his love of the banjo and Dixieland jazz for the last 30 years. He loved the spotlight, and was very comfortable on stage performing for the enjoyment of his audiences.

Having celebrated his 90th birthday on August 28th, Lee once again enjoyed entertaining others with the music that gave him such pleasure.  Lee was never one to live in the past, choosing always to focus on today and the future. His first marriage to Eleanor (Nora) Arnott brought four children:  Brian (Marlene), Janet, Karen (Wally) and Donna (Zig) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lee lived and worked in Whitehorse, Victoria, Duncan, and Gold River before settling into Nanoose Bay with wife, Dorothy. His family expanded to include her children:  Ginny (Delbert), John (Charlene), and Peter, and more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lee was predeceased by brothers, Ronald and Larry; first wife Eleanor; wife Dorothy; and grandsons, Taylor and Colin.

No service is planned, but donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
