DRIVER, Kenneth Albert

Born August 11, 1927 in Manchester England. Ken passed away peacefully at home May 27, 2006; after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Ken was a veteran of the 2nd World War, where he served with the Royal British Navy. After service, he moved to Langley, BC. Upon arrival met Cathrine, his wife of 53 years. He performed with the “Accents”, “Continentals”, “Club Men”, “National Rhythm”, “Judy & Company”, “British Club”, “Entertainers”, “Aldorsyd” and numerous other groups on the Mainland and Nanaimo for over 50 years. Ken had a sharp wit, a great sense of humour, and a true enjoyment of life and love. Ken was predeceased by youngest son, Cameron in 1996, Cloverdale, BC. He is survived by Cathrine (wife), children: Teresa (Rod), John (Rose), Murray, Evann (Sharon), and Sharon (Kirk). Also Ken’s sisters Kathleen, Beatrice & brother Clifford, and sisters-in-law Dorothy & Judy. Ken leaves behind one granddaughter and four grandsons, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended families. Ken touched so many lives throughout the years and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A “Celebration of Ken’s Life” will be announced later in July.
