Julia (Ferner) Johnson
May 10, 1912 ~ February 7, 2011
Julia passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born in Kronau, Saskatchewan, she met her husband, William (1938), married and had a son, Reginald. They moved to Vancouver in 1948 and shortly after bought a Blueberry Farm. During those years she volunteered at the Red Cross and local Bingo. She was also a member, for many years, of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Julia and Bill moved to Parksville in 1983.
Predeceased by her husband (1993), brothers and sisters. Julia will always be loved by her son, Reg (Phyllis); four grandchildren: Ray (Mi-Young), Lynne (Craig), Terri (Jeff), and Fred. She is also leaving behind seven great-grandchildren: Dustin, Chantelle, Natasha, Deanna, Wesley, Shannon and Landon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
We would like to give very special thanks to all those at the Gardens for taking extra special care of her. A quiet family gathering will be held. “Go be an Angel, Grandma.”
