NEGRIN, Joseph (Beppo)
July 20, 1930 ~ March 12, 2014
It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Joe. He passed away peacefully sitting in his chair by the fire.
Joe was predeceased by his wife, Agnes in 1998; survived by his son, Garry (Dawne) and daughters: Norma-Jean and Beverly (Tim). He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Natasha, Britta, Anna, Joseph, Marcus, Alexandra, Sophia, Kathryn, James, Jody and David, along with 3 great-grandsons, Marcco, Vincent and Alexander. Joe also leaves behind his sister, Mary Dunbar, sister-in-law, Marilyn Negrin and 10 nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in New Westminster and moved to the Island as a young teen to work in a Logging Camp in Port Alberni. He had a variety of jobs over the years, retiring from the Nanaimo School Board in 1993.
Joe had many friends in the Nanaimo area and will be sadly missed by all who have known him, including his friends at his favorite coffee shops.
There will be no service as per Joe’s request.
