It is with sadness that we announce that John passed away, peacefully after a short battle with cancer, with family at his side. John was known for his strong work ethic and was generous with his time and energy in helping others. He loved hockey and played with Senior hockey teams in Nanaimo and Parksville until he was 80.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, for their great care and kindness during John's brief stay there.
Memorial Service to be held at Cedar Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1724 Vowels Road, Cassidy, B.C., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Tea to follow.
