Joanne Hanlan - Born March 7, 1944 in Neepawa Manitoba. Died of Cancer May 8, 2018, in Nanaimo at the age of 74.
Joanne was a kind soul who spent her life making people happy.
Joanne was predeceased by her first husband William, and brother Larry. She is survived by her sister Mildred (Gerald), twin sister Dianne (Orval), sister Brenda, sister in law Judy, all of Manitoba. Daughter Coleen (Kerry) of Melita MB, Daughter Kim (Duley) of Vermilion AB. Son Blaine (Jennifer) of Red Deer AB. 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Step daughter Margaret of Victoria and Husband Dick of Nanaimo.
Jo was a caring soul who loved to cook huge dinners and invite family and friends. Her house was spotless and she could not abide an open cupboard or drawer.
Jo was an avid Nanaimo Clipper fan and when her illness kept her from the game she listened to them all on the radio. She fought to the end and never said Why Me.
She will be dearly missed.
