A long time resident of Nanaimo, was born on December 21st, 1924 in Penticton, BC and passed away on December 18th, 2006, 3 days before her 82nd birthday, at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge.
Jean was a very caring person, with a gentle loving heart that spread joy to all who knew her. She loved to spend time with family and friends, sharing a meal and listening to her favourite music. Jean selï¬‚essly gave of herself throughout her life and always found her greatest happiness in helping others.
She is predeceased by her parents, John and Mabel, stepmother Gladys, husband Dave, sister Thelma, brothers Harold and Jack. She is survived by brother David of Vancouver, son and daughter in-law Dave and Shelley of Nanaimo, and daughter Dona and grandsons Landon and Lucas of Courtenay. Jean also leaves behind many other family and friends. She will be forever in our hearts.
A private celebration of Jean’s life for family and friends will be held December 27, 2006.
