It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Jani surrounded by her family and friends.
Jani is predeceased by her parents Con and Irene Hungle, brother Gordy Hungle, son Shawn Crooks, and husband Alvin Mitton.
Jani is survived by her brother Gary (Trish) Hungle, daughter Kelly Crooks, grandchildren Jordan and Deven Brandback, great-granddaughter Kaylie.
Jani worked at Evans Bastion Insurance/ Hub International for 30 years until retirement in September 2014. Jani fulfilled her retirement dream by combining her two passions last fall by travelling to Yuma to golf all winter long. Jani’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter Kaylie.
In keeping with Jani’s wishes a celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 7, 2015 at her home 4080 Salal Drive from noon to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jani’s name to a charity of choice, the Canadian Cancer Society or The Nanaimo SPCA.
