KEAN, James Russell
Born on November 16, 1959 in Burnaby, BC; passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, on November 18, 2013 in Victoria, BC.
Jamie was a loving husband and devoted father and will be sadly missed by his loving family: wife, Lorie; and two daughters, Kelly and Lindsey; his niece, Alysha; his nephew, Michael; extended family and friends.
Jamie played all types of sports from the age of 6; soccer, lacrosse, and hockey. Jamie was a goalie for the Coaldiggers Hockey Team right up until he fell ill. One of Jamie’s great passions was spending his summers on Sproat Lake boating with family and friends. Jamie was the type of man to help anyone anytime. He was a person you could always rely on to help in a time of need.
He is predeceased by his father, Ian; mother, Margaret; and sister, Marsha.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Jamie’s memory to the Brain Cancer Society.
He will always remain forever in our hearts.
