NEWMAN, Jack Stahl
August 22, 1934 – November 26, 2015
Jack was predeceased by his parents, older brother Bob and his infant son Lee. He is survived by five brothers, Frank, Thor, Chester, Alan and David. Jack leaves his first wife Bev and their children Darlene, Jack Jr., Steve (Cherie) and Ron (Nan). There are several grandchildren and one great granddaughter Dakota Rose. His wife Roberta and her children Laura, Deborah and Dan will cherish their happy memories of him always.
Jack enjoyed the outdoors, which led to commercial fishing and logging as his career choices. He retired at 67 while supervising the helicopter logging in Lake Cowichan.
Jack had a debilitating illness for several years following retirement, but pancreatic cancer claimed him.
He hasn’t left us, he’s just looking for those pine mushrooms. You’ll know him by his red suspenders.
