Our family is deeply saddened to announce that our father Jack Gilmour passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 81.

Jack is survived by his two beautiful children: Mike Gilmour and Joanne Gilmour-Kyne. He leaves behind five grandchildren: Farrell and Jasper Gilmour; Wilson, Eva, and Jack Kyne; his brother Ray Gilmour, sister Eileen Ratelle, daughter-in-law Darlene Mannix, and ex-wife Pauline Johnson. Also all his close friends and the people Jack has helped and touched along the way in his lifetime.

Jack is predeceased by his brother Hugh Gilmour and sister Eva Blackburn.

Jack was born on August 5,1936, in Nanaimo where he was raised and spent his lifetime. He loved the outdoors along with hunting, fishing, gardening, joking with friends and most importantly trap shooting.

He was a very strong influence in the Nanaimo Fish and Game Club. His presence will be greatly missed.

We will all miss the quick wit, humour, and jokes of Jack.

So with Love Forever in our Hearts and Tears in our Eyes we say: Goodbye "FISHY JACK"

A celebration of Jack's Life will be held at the Nanaimo

Fish and Game Club on October 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Located at: 1325 Nanaimo Lakes Road.
