Gardiner, Jack
February 20, 1942 - July 30, 2012
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jack Gardiner, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Jack was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and passed away in Nanaimo, BC. He was predeceased by his dearly loved wife, Lorna Gardiner, his parents Jack and Dolly Gardiner, and his sister Eileen Whitaker. Jack is survived by his daughter, Gail Williams (Rob); son, John Gardiner; sister, Jennifer Ogden (Don); brother, Albert Gardiner (Brenda); and his grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Williams.
Jack was a long-time member of the Nanaimo Golf Club and loved playing every weekend with his best friends. He worked at Harmac for 30 years.
The family would like to give special thanks to the excellent nurses, doctors, and staff at NRGH.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 1:00pm at Sands Funeral Chapel and Reception Centre.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Jack.
