It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Herman Lust, 82, who passed away peacefully in the company of his loving wife on Saturday, June 17th in Palliative Care at NRGH.

Henry is survived by his wife Joyce of 57 years, son Jason (Lee-Ann), grandson Finn, sister Alberta (Leo) Lanz, brothers Don (Dorothy) and Lloyd (Brigitte) and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Henry was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on November 30th, 1934. He believed in hard work, had an adventurous and loving spirit and enjoyed meeting new friends wherever he went. After finishing his grade 12, Henry started his career with the Bank of Nova Scotia in Medicine Hat and through continuous success became an international bank manager which took his family to various postings in the Caribbean and Ireland. After a successful career, Henry returned to Canada and made a home for his family in Nanaimo. Henry was an accomplished and dedicated bridge player and golfer. He loved gardening, traveling, especially cruising, and putting a smile on the faces of the people he met.

Henry will be missed by all the many people he touched in a life well lived.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday,

June 28th from 1:00 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel

One Newcastle Ave., Nanaimo BC.

Friends and family are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers any memorial donations will be made to the Palliative Care Unit at NRGH.
