It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Harvey Alexander Robertson on March 15, 2024. Harvey was born in New Liskeard, Ontario on May 13, 1941 to Kathleen (Kate) and William (Bill) Robertson.
Harvey left Ontario in 1964 and headed west to British Columbia. He settled and found employment in Kemano, British Columbia where he married and had two children, Bruce and Kimberly Robertson.
When he left Kemano, Harvey made his way to Nanaimo and worked for many years at Kal Tire. Harvey was a gentleman who loved to chat and enjoyed talking with anyone and everyone.
Harvey lovingly leaves behind his son Bruce (Laurie) Robertson and daughter Kimberly Yasunaga, as well as stepchildren Kelly (Fraser) Johnston, Tony (Cheryl) Parkin, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Also left to grieve are his sister Gale (Gary) Fenton, brother Bob Robertson and sister Peggy Robertson, and his very special friend Betty.
Harvey was pre-deceased by his wife Grace, father William, mother Kate, and brother Bill.
There will be no service at this time but there will be a small gathering of family at a later date to celebrate Harvey's life.
In lieu of flowers, and if friends so desire donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
