It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gwendda Blasutig on February 22, 2024 at the age of 82. She passed away peacefully with the love of her family by her side.
Gwendda was predeceased by her parents, Frank Evans, Helen Wilson and stepfather, Brock Wilson.
She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband Ken, of 62 years, her three daughters, Debbie (Ryner) Paulson, Dee-Dee (Ken) Adams, Carrie (Ryan) Dodds.
Grandchildren - Zabrena (Nick), Amanda (Carlos), Quintin (Julie), Matthew, Jeff (Carly), Chelsea (Stefan), Trevor, Hayden (Bri), and Keely (Isaac).
Great-grandchildren, Cathryn, Aiden, Jacob, Jaden, Parker, Jude, Emerson and another great-grandchild on the way. Sister - Peggy Borgerson, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Gwendda was born on March 2, 1941 at St. Boniface, Manitoba. She moved to Nanaimo with her mother and older sister when she was a young child. Gwendda worked at the Royal Bank for over 25 years until she retired. She was a past president of the Nanaimo Curling Club. Gwendda loved watching all sports especially hockey, having had season tickets to the Nanaimo Clippers for many years.
Gwendda was a positive and fun-loving person who had a zest for life. She loved fishing, camping, curling, cruising, yearly trips to Mazatlán and most of all spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, #1 Newcastle Ave. Nanaimo B.C. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
