Gunnar Rasmussen
1932 - 2016
With fond memories, we sadly say goodbye to a kind and gentle man, a loving husband (predeceased by Madge in 2006), father, uncle, brother friend and neighbour on June 6, 2016.
He was born in Denmark on January 8. As a young man he proudly served with the Royal Danish Guards and immigrated to Canada in 1958. Gunnar lived in Prince George for 35 years with his wife Madge and three children.
In 1993 they moved to Nanaimo. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and neighbours. A huge thank you to the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village for his exceptional care. A Celebration of Gunnar’s Life will be held at the Nanaimo Golf Course in Nanaimo on July 16th from one to three pm.
