His successful radio career at CHAB in Moose Jaw led to him moving his family in 1966 to Nanaimo, BC, as part owner and general manager of CHUB radio.
He became very active in the Nanaimo community, he served as President of the Nanaimo Rotary, Director of the Chamber of Commerce, the United Appeal and Nanaimo Golf Club. He was an extraordinary husband and father who devoted his life to the well being of his family.
Those lucky enough to meet him know how special he was, a great role model, sweet, loving, positive man who bound our incredible family together, he would light up with every opportunity to visit with family and friends. His happiness, love, wit and sense of humour made it impossible not to love him. He was always excited to hear about your day, experiences and even struggles. In return he would share wisdom and positivity, put things in perspective in the most loving way and have you feeling better with a quick chat. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, BLG! And God Bless you all!
