GEORGE BROWNE
June 11, 1931 - June 21, 2016
George passed away at Nanaimo Regional Hospital from cancer, with family nearby. He was born in Auburn, Australia and immigrated to Canada in 1957. As he was a specialist in structural steel, he worked overseas and in Canada. He was predeceased by 3 siblings and his parents Jean & Archie Browne. He married Faye Parker in 1965 and celebrated 50 years of marriage last October. He was a kind and loving man and will be sorely missed, a life well lived. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial, 1720 Bowen Rd., Nanaimo, BC on Monday July 4th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
