Gayle Lucille Mate age 67 passed away with cancer in Surrey Hospice on March 18th 2016.
Gayle was born July 18, 1948 in Vancouver, BC She lived in Vancouver, Surrey & Nanaimo BC. She worked in the clothing industry for 15yrs. Later Gayle worked for We Care Home Care as a home support worker. She was nurturing & kind to all her clients and did all she could for them. Gayle will be fondly remembered for all her Volunteer work for the following: Hospice Nanaimo & Hospice Surrey, St. Matthews Catholic Church, Cloverdale Elementary School, Legion #256 Nanaimo.
Gayle was thoughtful, kindhearted, & loving. She cared about everyone. She’s greatly missed & in our thoughts and prayers.
Survivors Mother Joyce Boutilier, Daughters Maria Mate & Patricia Mate, Grandsons Jordon Mate & Christopher Jackson. Kevin Jackson Christopher’s Father. Sisters Barbara Graham, Lynn Henderson, Ellen Dupa, Theresa Clark & Tina Ackerman.
