FREDERICK BRIAN BANKS passed away suddenly on November 28th, 2003 at the age of 53. Fred was born on January 13, 1950, in Montreal, Quebec. Fred has made Nanaimo his home for the past 25 years.

Predeceased by his father, Charles Banks in 1976. Survived by his lover, wife and friend, Shiloh Rebecca; his mother, Patricia Banks, his bother, Trevor Banks (Pat), sister, Valerie Booth (Dave), sister Kathy Shuker (George). His children; Naomi, Christopher, Michael, Nathaniel, Audrey, Richard and his step children, Danusha (Bryan) Arcady (Jason), Leigh and his grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson and baby Sydney. Also survived by nephews, Jeff Kinash and family (Sask), David Banks (Vancouver), his godfather, Bob Rogers (Mavis), (Vancouver) and numerous cousins and friends. Fred was a father, husband, grandfather, son, brother and most of all friend to many. Fred loved sailing, skiing, camping, firecrackers, jokes and teasing. Fred was a world traveler, a consummate coffee maker, mechanic, builder, chef de cuisine, lover of all things fine and loved his MGs. Fred loved people most of all and touched many lives and always helped those less fortunate. Fred is sadly missed by all.

Fred has worked for Vancouver B.C. Buildings Corporation as a Project Superintendent for the past three years, commuting between Vancouver and the Island. He is home now.
