Eric John Friedenthal
April 10, 1952 - October 3, 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eric John Friedenthal.
Eric passed away at home on Oct 3, 2017. He fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer, much longer than the doctors expected.
Eric is survived by his loving wife Wendy of 42 years, daughter Rebecca (Daniel), son Cal (Kaz), daughter Michelle & his granddaughters Jubilee, Izabel & Janet, his mother Flo & brother Craig (Laurette), brother in law Don (Wendy) and nieces & nephews.
Eric is predeceased by his brother Bruce & father Joe.
Eric was born in Sacramento California and lived there until he was a teenager & his parents moved to Piers Island, BC.
Eric worked in the forestry industry for over 40 years. Work brought Eric and his family to Nanaimo.
He loved to camp, fish & ride his motorbike. You could often find him after work at Rocky Point trying to bring home dinner, he was only successful once in the many years he went.
He will be missed by all that knew him.

A service will be held at Sands Funeral Home in Nanaimo on October 13 at 1:00 pm.
