It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Gadsby on February 27, 2024, with Susan, Ralph and Jake at her side. She is survived by her daughter Susan and husband Brad, son Ralph and wife Emma and her beloved grandsons, Jordan (Antonia), Keenan (Rachel), Blake, Quinn and Max. Eileen is also survived by extended family in B.C., Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband Ted, mother Grace, father Ralph and twin sister Irene.
Mom worked in the Health Records department at NRGH for almost 30 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed her summer holidays in Brandon, Manitoba with Irene, vacationing at her timeshare in Mazatlan, animals, jigsaw puzzles, Wagon Train, dancing, Engelbert Humperdinck and most of all her family. Mom made the best lasagna ever! She had a wonderful sense of humour and you could always tell what she was thinking from her expressions.
Our Mom was a kind and caring person. She was a strong woman who faced life's challenges with grace and dignity. She instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and loyalty. Mom was an incredible role model who we will always look up to.
The family would like to thank the staff at Keeping House and Eden Gardens, who provided loving and compassionate care to Mom for the last 2 years. We are so grateful to you all. No service by request.
