DAILEY, Effie
On Sunday, August 19, 2007, Hephzibah (Effie) Dailey passed away peacefully at her home in Nanaimo, B.C.. Effie was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob), her son Robert and her daughter, Patricia (Pat). Effie leaves to mourn her passing, a son, Oliver (Ollie), Cawston, B.B. and a daughter Jaqueline (Jackie) & Ron Smith, Nanaimo, B.C., many relatives and friends on Vancouver Island.
Born in Barlow, England, December 15, 1911, Effie emigrated, at age 13, with her family tot he Port Alberni Valley where her mother and father, Nel and John Miller, farmed. In 167 Effie moved to Nanaimo with her daughter Pat to set up and operate Hide-a-way Kennels. Effie worked hard and enjoyed her life and was a strong support and companion to her daughter, Pat.
To meet her wishes there will be no memorial service and she requested cremation. Anyone wishing to honour her memory is encouraged to make a donation to their local SPCA.
