It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, aunt and friend.

Dot passed peacefully in her 92nd year at her home at Lakeside Gardens. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Jack Scott, in May 2014 and grandson, Sean Dixon, in 2017.

She is survived by Bill (Kathy) of Powell River, Keith (Sandy), Jack (Carrie), Duncan (Vivien), and Sherrie, all of Nanaimo. She will be fondly remembered by her children, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Dot was born in Comox hospital. She and her family lived in Merville and Victoria before eventually settling in Nanaimo.

Dot worked at the five and dime (Woolworth's) in Nanaimo, and when the war broke out she became a member of the Air Raid Precaution unit for the city. Dot belonged to the Harewood Fire Department woman's auxiliary because Jack was a volunteer fireman. She joined the Harewood School PTA while her children attended that school. Being a wife and Mum were her most important priorities. She was also a renowned knitter.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Cancade, Dr. Dodo and the staff at Lakeside Garden Retirement Living.

There will be a celebration of life at Generations Church 1300 Princess Royal Avenue, Nanaimo, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2 pm.

Reception to follow in the church hall In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
