Dodie passed away at Wexford Creek Lodge. Born at Vancouver, Dodie was a lifelong resident of Yellow Point and was 92 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Jack in 2005 and by her parents Mable and Murdoch Maclennan, siblings Duncan Maclennan, Peggy Jones, Barbara Elliott, Mary Gamble, Bud Maclennan and Kitty Schwarz.
She is survived by two sisters Isobel (Sue) and husband Sid Norman, Lois and husband Ray Doumont, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and by her long time friend and sister-in-law Irene Peters and family.
A service for Dodie will be held at St. Philips Anglican Church Hall, 1797 Cedar Road, Cedar B.C., Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Mas Iwasawa will officiate. Inurnment will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar B.C. If friends so wish they may make donations in memory of Dodie to the charity of their choice.
Dodie’s sisters would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Wexford Creek Lodge (especially her favorites). Sincere thanks also to Drs. Peter Gutmanis and Jenny Cheng and extra special thanks to Dr. Bill Ehman for this many years of excellent care.
