Doreen (Reen) Margaret Lewis

We sadly announce the passing of a very special lady. Doreen (Reen) Margaret Lewis passed away peacefully on November 30, 2014 in Nanaimo. Reen was predeceased by her beloved husband Ron, two brothers Bruce and Hugh Campbell, sister Ena Bickerton, and nephew Hugh Campbell. Reen is survived by several loving nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Reen loved to sing and over the years was a member of the Nanaimo Malaspina Choir, the Bowen Senior Songsters and the Island Bel Canto Singers. Full of fun and energy, Reen had a charismatic personality with a love of life, family, friends, and nature. At Reen’s request there will be no memorial service. Her remains will be interred beside her husband at St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Victoria. Memorial tributes for Reen may be made to the Nanaimo S.P.C.A. or a charity of your choice. A collection of stories on Reen’s life from friends or relatives will be gathered and may be sent to dlc96@shaw.ca.
