David Gaumont-Guay
September 10, 1972 - April 16, 2016
It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my best friend and true love, David Gaumont-Guay at the age of 43.
David was a lover of life, science, adrenaline and adventure. An accomplished whitewater paddler, inspirational professor and talented biometeorology researcher, caring and hands-on father, animal lover and amateur videographer. He possessed an innate ability to balance kindness, humour and true French-Canadian spirit, creating a truly entertaining person to be around. He could make us all laugh with such ease. We are all so very proud of his courage, fighting attitude and eternal humour as he battled more than any person should.
David leaves behind his wife (Cindy), two young boys, his mother (Michele) and father (Jean-Denis) and two brothers (Stephan and Francois).
Service to be held at VIU Gathering Place on
April 30th at 1:00. No flowers please.
