Dave Alan Hiebert
1952 - 2011
A Nanaimo “lifer”, Dave, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2011. This passionate family man leaves behind his beloved wife & daughters, Robin, Jessica ( Jeff), Kate (Caine); his adoring grandson, Ethan; his brother, Derrick (wife and sons, Correen, Cory, James); his in-laws, Bob and Dorothy Pilotte; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Diedrich and Helen Hiebert.
An affable guy with an unshakeable sense of humour, Dave was crazy about kids, vintage cars, classic rock, bad puns, and his lifelong friends too numerous to list. He and his brother Derrick - the original “Mackenzie Brothers” - were (in)famous for their hilarious routines; family gatherings will never be the same.
He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who held him dear: his family, his many friends and his colleagues. He will be forever cherished in the hearts of gazoonies everywhere.
