Danny Faris

August 4, 1984 – April 28, 2021
Danny Faris was born on August 4, 1984 on a beautiful hot sunny day. From babyhood on, he lived his life with great exuberance and enthusiasm, bringing laughter and joy to everyone he met.
As a child, he loved raising his birds, boating, and camping on NewCastle Island with his siblings. As he grew older, he got his first guide dog, Maddy, and went everywhere with her. His fond name for her was ‘Maddy Maddy, the Fish Patty’ due to her many misadventures with sea life.
He then took up the bagpipes with Cary and Janna-Lynn and Protection Islanders would stand in front of our deck listening in awe as they played.
He was baptized at First Baptist Church, where he worshiped from 2001 to the present. He loved the Lord with all his heart and his faith was as solid as a rock.
It was his greatest joy as a Sunday School teacher and AWANA leader to bring kids to Christ. He had a special heart for kids with special needs, always ensuring that they felt valued, included, and a part of the family of God.
When Danny was 14, he and Craig started their own company to pay for bakeware for their motorhome. Danny was writing software long before he graduated from high school and released his first major program when he was seventeen.
He became well-known in his field of expertise and continued running the corporation to the present time. He also was a highly prized accessible tester and programmer for NNELS, National Network For Equitable Library Services for the past three years.
Recently, Danny fell in love, proposed and was about to be married to Kelly Wiebe. He was overjoyed to be a dad to her three sons. Everyone who knows Danny will remember his bigger than life smile and boisterous laugh.
Tragically, Danny passed away suddenly on April 28, Wednesday. He will be sorely missed by his family, his church, and his community. Danny was a beacon of hope for all who knew him and truly made a massive difference in the world. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Danny is survived by his parents, Greg and Karen; his fiance, Kelly Wiebe; stepchildren Colin (aged eight), Kyle (aged six), and Kaden (aged four); siblings Craig, Cary (Kristy), Janna-Lynn, Katy-Lynn (Samuel), and Chera-Lynn.
