Clarence Roy Carter
Clarence Roy Carter Born in Calgary, Alberta Oct 31, 1925 Died in Nanaimo, BC, May 9, 2014. Beloved husband and best friend of Val (Alcock-Carter). Father to Sharon and Bradley, both of Toronto and children of his first marriage to Maggie, long deceased. Step-father to Wendell (Shelagh), Mitchell, Marshall (Tracy) and Sarah (Stephen). Proud grandpa to Jackson, Lauren, Jesse and Declan. Roy was involved in the construction business, was proud of his trade as an ornamental plasterer. He travelled the world and worked on many famous buildings in North Africa and the Middle East. He loved sports, played golf, bridge regularly and read widely. Val and Roy enjoyed many special trips at home and overseas. During the last year of much pain, his faith in God kept him strong. No flowers please—donations to the Hospital Foundation if you wish to remember Roy. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Neighbourhood Church on 4951 Rutherford Rd, Nanaimo, BC for family and friends.
