FAIRBROTHER– Catherine Miller, born January 3, 1926 in Thurso, Caithness Scotland passed away August 11th, 2017 at George Derby LTC Centre in Burnaby with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Survived by her husband Ralph Butler, son Ralph Sinclair (Shirley) and daughter Margaret Catherine. Pre-deceased by daughter, Elizabeth Georgina in July 2002. Survived by grandchildren, Chandra, Chloe, Selina, Barbara, Robert and great grandchildren. Catherine served in the A.T.S. as a veteran in World War II in Scotland. Catherine married in 1945 (72 years). She was involved in her home community in Nanaimo prior to leaving for Burnaby in May of 2017. Catherine was a lovely, generous kind soul with a heart of gold, always giving to others. She will be greatly missed by all she touched. A private family service will be held. No flowers are requested, donations to a charity of choice in her name is appreciated.
