“Faith, Commitment, Gratitude, Integrity”

Caroline was an amazing woman who lived by these words. She did her best to instill such virtues in all those she loved. She was an Associate of the Sisterhood of Saint John the Divine.

Caroline was born at New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on January 17, 1921. She died at Nanaimo, B.C. on February 9, 2014. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 62 years, Nelson Morris; older son, Nelson Edward (Ted); parents, Edward and Violet Young; brother, the Reverend Canon Allan Young, his wife Doris and their son, David and daughter-in-law, Nancy Ion.

Left to mourn are her loving son, Richard Goddon (Rita); grandchildren: Jayme Elizabeth, Mark Nelson (Jessica), and Casey; great-grandson, Chase Kennedy, all of Florida; daughter-in-law, Linda Ion Hangartner (Jake) of Maui, and niece, Jan Hill (Graham) of Sooke, B.C.

A celebration of Caroline’s life will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church, 138 Hoy Lake Rd, Qualicum Beach, BC on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Reception will follow in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation, 2410 Lee Ave., Victoria, BC V8R 6V5, or the charity of your choice.
