Kine-Emery, Barbara Ann
It is with deep sadness we announce that Barb lost her courageous battle to Inflammatory Breast Cancer at NRGH on January 25, 2011. Barbara was born in Comox on February 6, 1951, graduated from N.D.S.S. in 1970 and married in 1982 to David Ross Emery. Barb was a generous and giving woman who will be greatly missed by her family and many special friends. She worked for several years as a hairdresser and then as a mill worker at Harmac. Barb was predeceased by her dad, Bud Kine; father-in-law , Bob Emery; brother, Rob Kine and brother-in-law, Moray McKay. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ross; his children and grandchildren Bryan and Jordan; mother-in-law Agnes; sister-in-law Marie and family; Barbara’s mother, Mary Kine; sisters: Linda McKay, Ruth Kine (Arlo); sister-in-law, Karen and her nieces and nephews: Muskie, Sam, Mary, and Alix.
A celebration of life for Barb will be held at the Union Bay Community Hall on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:30 am, refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
