Anne Marie-Ange passed away peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living in Victoria on October 4, 2021. She was born on March 19, 1933 in Forest (Brussels) Belgium.
She is the eldest of ten siblings and was predeceased by her brother Bernard and her sister Isabelle in 2015. She leaves in mourning her dear brothers and sisters: Jean-Marie (Pierrette), Thérèse, Guy (Hélène), Yves, Roland (Marian), Benoît (Anna Maria), and Marguerite (Ronald).
She leaves behind a large number of nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces as well as great great nephews and nieces.
The last family reunion in 2018 included close to 100 family members.
Anne Marie-Ange spent her career teaching French in Belgium, Quebec, Ontario and finally in BC (Nanaimo). Anne Marie-Ange, who had a Master's Degree in Education, spent more than 40 years teaching. For many years she was an active parishioner at St. Peter's Church, involved in the Choir, Catholic Women's League and the Prayer Group.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Dean Henderson at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 798 Goldstream Avenue on Saturday October 16, at 11 am.
Viewing and Prayers will be held prior at 10:15 am.
A Reception in the Church Hall will follow the Funeral Mass and interment will be at Hatley Memorial Gardens.
