Caruso, Angelo (Chilli)
passed away on September 17, 2005 in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, born in North Vancouver, BC November 18, 1916. He was predeceased by wife Katie in April 1979 and brothers Philly, Joe and Frank. He is survived by partner Vernetta Duley, daughters; Joann, Mary (George), and son: Frank (Jan), grandchildren: Brad (Kim), Lisa, Darren, Stacy (Pete), Brandi (Marty), great grandchildren: Shea, Spencer and Carlena, extended family Norm, Alvin (Jan), Barb (Lou), Glen (Barb) and their families. He is also survived by his sister, Kath McKay and numerous nieces and nephews. Chilli spent most of his young life in Princeton, BC. In 1958 he moved his family to Nanaimo, he owned and operated the Wellington service station (Chevron) for many years and was a long time member of the Cavalotti Lodge. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of Chilli's life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Cavalotti Lodge 2060 East Wellington Road.
