Alpha Elfrieda Beth Barr

Alpha Elfrieda Beth Barr, (nee Harrison) was born on December 09,1929 to William and Margaret Harrison, in the “small house” on their farm in South Wellington,BC. Alpha passed away in Nanaimo Regional Hospital, January 16th, 2017 from complications arising from the flu. At the time of her passing, Alpha resided at The Travellers Lodge, a loving place where she felt accepted. Alpha was predeceased by her parents, husband Edward (Red) Barr, brother Reg Harrison, son-in law, Ken Anderson and infant grandson, Jake. Alpha is survived by her children Lavina Anderson, Ed (Karen) Barr, Leslie (Harry) Depew, and Jim Barr; her brother Ernie (Marlynn) Harrison, her sister Elise “Honey” (Frank) Hanuse. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Joe), Karly (Troy), Matt (Katrina), Dan (Dana), Sarah (Dave), Adam, Becca, Candace and Jolene, numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren and extended family members and friends. Alpha was loved by all who knew her. There will be a celebration of her life for family and friends on Saturday, January 28th at the South Wellington Community Hall at 12:30-3:30 pm.
