October 17, 1931 – February 15, 2020
Agnes Ninatti (nee Anderson), beloved mother to Laurie (Bill) and Janice (Zvjezdan) and grandmother to Nicholas and Scott, passed away at home on February 15, 2020.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman, bothers-in-law Edward and Aldo and sister-in-law Lydia Ninatti. Agnes is survived by her sister Shirley Johnson, sisters-in-law Josephine Bernardon and Barbara and Irene Ninatti and nieces and nephews Lila, Russ (Anne), TJ, Norman (Laura) and Tracey (John). She also leaves behind her dear friends of over 70 years, Lorie Webb and Berniece Ward.
A resident of Nanaimo, Agnes was born in Ladysmith and spent most of her life living and raising her family in Cassidy. She loved her career as a school teacher and retired, rather reluctantly, after 35 years, teaching mainly at South Wellington and Waterloo schools.
Agnes was a warm and caring soul who loved people, and she maintained a positive attitude throughout her life. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Honouring her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
