Adam Denis Doré

March 17, 1982 - February 16, 2015.

Adam passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer. He lived life to the fullest and loved the Canucks and Seahawks, live music, good food, and hosting friends and family at his home. To know Adam was to be his friend.

Predeceased by his mom Lynda Doré, in 1993, Adam is survived by his dad Denis Doré, stepmom Maureen Makepeace-Doré, grandparents Val and Bernice Hornby, grandmother Marie Boivin, sister Chelsea Doré (Bob Cotton), stepbrother Ken Parkes (Joleen Parker), stepsisters Melissa Peoples (Trevor) and Kristina Poncé (Lars) as well as many extended family members and friends. Adam was a loving uncle to Shea, Kyra, Miguel, and Adalyn (named for Uncle Adam and Grandma Lynda).

An open house to celebrate Adam’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Macan Hall (Nanaimo Golf Club). Guests are invited to come anytime between 1:00 and 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada in Adam’s name are graciously accepted. Special thanks to Auntie Catherine for all her loving support to Adam. As well, thank you to the physicians, nurses and hospice volunteers in the Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for helping to ensure Adam was well cared for.
