PROPERTY TAX DUE DATE: JULY 4, 2023

The 2023 Property Taxes are due by Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Any current year balance outstanding, including balances due to an unclaimed Home Owner Grant, will be subject to penalties:

• 2% at the end of the day Jul 4th

• 8% at the end of the day Aug 31st

Claim the Home Owner Grant: 1-888-355-2700 or www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant

Properties with delinquent taxes will be subject to Tax Sale on Monday, September 25, 2023 if payment for the delinquent taxes plus applicable interest is not received before September 25th.

Payment Options:

• Bank: In person, over the phone, or online. Use the folio number on your tax notice as the account number to pay. Ensure payment is made before your financial institution’s local cut-off time

• Visit the Service & Resource Centre at 411 Dunsmuir Street.

Cheque, debit card and cash payments are accepted. Office hours

are Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm. The office is closed July 3rd for the

Stat Holiday

• Use the drop box at the Service & Resource Centre after office

hours. Cheques can be made payable to the ‘City of Nanaimo’
