The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) is in receipt of a Zoning Amendment Application for the property shown in the location map below.

PURPOSE OF PROPOSED BYLAW

The applicant proposes to rezone the subject property from Rural 1 (RU1) Zone, Subdivision District ‘D’ to Rural 1(RU1) Zone, Subdivision District ’F’, under the “Regional District of Nanaimo Land Use and Subdivision Bylaw No. 500, 1987”, to reduce the minimum parcel size from 2.0 hectares to 1.0 hectare to allow a two-lot subdivision.

The public is invited to provide feedback and submit questions about the proposed zoning amendment application online at www.getinvolved.rdn.ca/pl2023-036 Comments and questions may also be submitted by email to planning@rdn.bc.ca or by mail or in person to the RDN Administration office located at 6300 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, B.C., V9T 6N2. Feedback must be received by 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023. A summary of the comments received will be provided to the applicant, the Electoral Area Services Committee and RDN Board as part of the application review process.
