Island Health issued an information bulletin on Friday, Nov. 5, advising that it has identified two more cases of COVID-19 at NRGH’s transitional care unit, bringing the number of cases associated with the outbreak to six.

Six patients and one staff member have tested positive in the hospital unit.

“The outbreak continues to be limited to the transitional care unit,” noted Island Health.

The health authority says there are 517 active COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Island, with 323 of those cases on the central Island.
