Nanaimo RCMP issued a press release Friday, May 7, updating the driver’s condition and repeating a call for dashcam footage from any motorists who were in that area of the parkway at the time of the crash.

Two transport trucks going northbound collided at about 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, near the intersection of the Nanaimo Parkway and Northfield Road.

RCMP say they are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision and hope that other motorists might be able to assist by sharing dash cam or cell phone video of the crash. The Nanaimo RCMP municipal traffic unit can be reached at 250-754-2345. The file number is 2021-16244.
