NANAIMO – St. Patrick's Day was a lucky day for Vancouver Island University administrators and the faculty association.

St. Patrick's Day was a lucky day for Vancouver Island University administrators and the faculty association.

Following a productive session of bargaining over the past few weeks, the two parties reached a tentative agreement on Sunday afternoon.

Ratification of the new collective agreement is expected to happen shortly and further details will be available at that time, states a VIU press release.

The VIU Faculty Association represents more than 750 faculty, instructors, technicians and other staff at all four campuses.
