Tilray to become medical marijuana supplier to Shoppers Drug Mart

Deal contingent on Shoppers Drug Mart receiving Health Canada approval

Tilray Canada has announced a deal that will see it provide its medicinal marijuana to Shoppers Drug Mart.

According to a press release from the company, the deal will see “Tilray-branded medical cannabis products,” supplied to the retail drug store and is subject to Health Canada approval of Shoppers’ application to become a licensed producer.

“It is expected the products will be sold online, as Canadian regulations currently restrict the sale of medical cannabis in retail pharmacies,” the press release said.

Tilray has facilities in Nanaimo and Enniskillen, Ont.
