In a press release, RCMP say they are asking for the public’s help to identify a person shown in a surveillance video carrying cases of tools and running for the exit of the Metral Drive store at about 6:30 p.m. June 11.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a blue mask, red sweater, black shorts and black runners.

Anyone with information on the person’s identity is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 quoting file No. 2022-20174.
