Supreme Convenience store robbed at gunpoint

Nanaimo RCMP hope the public can help identify a man who robbed the Supreme Convenience store at gunpoint on the weekend.

The robbery happened at 6:10 p.m. Sunday when a man entered the store, at 2101 Boundary Avenue, produced a black handgun and demanded money from the till.

The female clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man ran out the front door.

Police responded with a dog, which picked up a track that stopped a short distance from the store.

The suspect is Caucasian, medium build, 5'7" to 5'8" in tall with short blonde hair. He wore an Air Jordan baseball cap, black T-shirt and black track pants with horizontal and vertical stripes and concealed his face with a blue surgical mask.
