The voting event was held at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre where election officials saw a steady flow of people who came to downtown Nanaimo to vote for or against the centre. The polling station was open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
An additional advance voting day takes place Wednesday (March 8), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the conference centre, with general voting day on March 11. For more information on how to vote and where, please visit www.nanaimo.ca.
